Earth Hour 2008

Truman, Kim, and I participated in Earth Hour 2008 by turning off all lights, computers, tvs, games, etc. and unplugging most appliances and power strips. By candlelight (likely not earth and health friendly), we made a list of what we can work on and try to do to help protect the earth.

1) Use less energy: watch less TV, use computer less, unplug when not using them.
2) Don't litter and volunteer to clean up litter
3) Don't waste gas: walk, take less drives, plan drivin trips better, walk or ride metro bus to school more often, don't eat out as much.
4) Use less heat, wear extra layer
5) Buy food and milk from closer places
6) Try not to use drive thru
7) Have more power out nights
8) Re-use some clothes more often before washing
9) Recycle

We also played a game of Dinosaur Dominoes and Sorry. And even with Truman's suggestion, extended our hour until 9:45.

We're looking forward to more Power Out nights.
